YOUR HOSTS

BILL & POLLY RITCHIE WELCOME YOU

We would like to share a little about ourselves and "HACIENDA del REY." We have been married since 1969 and have 7 GROWN children & 9 grandchildren...all but two are living in Tucson.

Polly was a home economics-interior design major in college, loves art (draws and creates ceramic stoneware on the wheel as well as other art forms). She returned to college after all the children were grown and studied art and drafting. She taught dance and figure roller skating for many years; and used to own and operate a skating rink. She is also a LICENSED REALTOR and works as an Accredited Buyer's Representative with both NEW & RESALE homes.

Polly & Bill: You have been great hosts!  The Hacienda is very lovely & the breakfasts are first rate.  We will be telling our friends...

Bill (also goes by the nickname Rich) has a green thumb and has many talents in building trades and has appeared in several TV commercials and motion pictures. Past businesses include restaurant, painting contractor & remodeling. He is now retired from the mobile home park business.

This was a sad year for us to lose both our canine friends.  We as well as our guests enjoyed their company and will miss their presence.

Killer was about 17-18 yrs old and lived a long life as do many small dogs, however, we only had the companionship of Baby for such a short time of 9 years.  We have been told that is a long time for a Great Dane with most only living about 7-8 years.  He developed Bone Cancer and was gone in 3 months.  Killer, a Terrier mix, was an escape artist and our courtyard gate was left open.  Out she went and we never found her.  The Coyotes or Hawks, we are sure, thought she was a rabbit.  She was almost totally white in her old age.

Waiting to greet our guests!

As Great Danes have a very big appetite, we used to joke that we had to rent rooms to feed our dogs!  Now that they are gone, we've decided we can't replace them... but... we still rent rooms!
